We want to thank all prospective speakers for their high quality proposals.

To capture the momentum the organization committee is working hard to extend the conference to 3 parallel main tracks for a total of 42 talks and 10 tutorials at EuroBSDcon 2013.  Further, a smaller fourth DevSummit track is planned for Saturday as well.  The program committee is currently evaluating and selecting the most compelling topics, speakers, and tutorials from the 75 submitted proposals.

Every EuroBSDcon 2013 attendee can be sure to receive more than their fair share of comprehensive and in-depth presentations on all matters in BSD related operating system and application software.

For women in technology we are launching an attendee travel grant program in  cooperation with Google to improve diversity.  Interested women can apply during the registration process.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their partners and family along for an extended weekend.  A side program is organized.  The location Malta has a rich history, sunny and warm weather, great scuba diving sites, nice beaches, and is well worth a visit.  The social event on Saturday evening is a beach BBQ where partners and family are equally welcome.

This exciting expansion however takes the conference budget to the limits and requires careful and tight management by the organization and program committees.

We want to thank the EuroBSDcon 2013 sponsors again for making this conference possible: Google Inc. (platinum), The FreeBSD Foundation (gold), Netflix Inc. (gold), HOB GmbH & Co. KG (silver), iXsystems Inc. (silver), BSDeurope.eu (silver), The NetBSD Foundation (bronze), PC Engines GmbH (bronze), Snow B.V. (bronze).

Additional sponsoring opportunity inquiries are welcome.

The final and confirmed list of talks, tutorials and speakers is expected to be announced on Tuesday, June 18 2013 together with the opening of the attendee registration for the conference.

EuroBSDcon 2013 takes place on Saturday and Sunday September 28-29 2013 with the tutorials on Thursday and Friday September 26-27 2013 in St. Julian’s, Malta.  For more information see http://www.eurobsdcon.org.
