Social Event – Saturday evening
On Saturday evening we have the large social event for all attendees and their partners/family at the Paradise Bay with a big beach BBQ. You may even want to go for a swim in the sea, as it is warmer than the air at night. Changing and shower facilities are available.
Water, soft-drinks and one glass of wine or one bottle of beer is included. Additional alcoholic beverages and drinks have to be ordered and paid at the drinks bar on-site.
Transport by coach to/from the restaurant is included, departing between 19:00-19:30 in front of the conference venue. Return between 22:00-23:00 (multiple returns).

Side Program for Partners and Family
For those accompanying someone attending EuroBSDcon 2013 we’re creating a side program with sight seeing of Malta. If you’re extending your stay beyond the conference you can also visit these places on your own.
The side program covers Saturday and Sunday, with suggestions for Thursday and Friday. The conference social event on Saturday evening invites conference attendees and their companions to the sunset beach BBQ.
Malta has a very rich history and many interesting heritage and cultural sites to explore.
The side program isn’t finalized yet, however here are some places you’re likely going to visit within a guided tour:
- Valletta city center and harbor, not to miss the great fortifications and Upper Barakka Gardens with a magnificent view of the Grand Harbor and the three cities
- Luzzu boat tour of the Grand Harbor
- medieval city of Mdina on the tallest hill of the island
- beautiful harbor of Marsaxlokk with lots of small and brightly painted fishing boats
- island of Gozo with Victoria, Ramla Bay and the Azure window
- Blue Grotto
- Blue Lagoon
